SOURCE: 4wd stuck in 4Lo
Yeah, it may be a bad switch or faulty wiring harness. I have some other problems besides the wiring/switch deal. When engaged in 4hi, the front pulls left then right, back and forth pretty strongly (yes, that's driving in the snow). I drained and replaced the fluid in the t.c. and front diff. I took it for a test drive on a thick gravel road and shifted into 4hi. I shifted fine and I drove it for a few minutes with all of the above described pulling. When I went to shift back to 2wd, it wouldn't happen multiple times pushing 2wd and 4hi. Just to see what would happen, I put it in Neutral, shifted to 4low...yeah that worked, just because it entrapped be into being stuck in 4low. I was close to the house by then so driving forward and back...pushing buttons...using manuals instructions to shift to neutral...pulling fuses....disconnecting the battery...it wouldn't go back to 2hi. I finally yanked of the dash piece surrounding the steering column, yanked and stuffed some wires because I was so ******, unhooked the 4wd switch and put it back together. NOW it is shifting again. I praised the Lord. One problem possibly figured out. Either a bad wiring loom or a bad switch. Hope that helped.
