Can't say for sure but my car acted stupid for a year nobody could figure out what was wrong then it broke down on me halfway into a 350 mile trip. It was the timing belt all along!

Hello, I got this problem with my 2002 huyndai elantra, this car originally starter this problem, no heat when driving the car, the heat started to work on and off, the radiator looks ok, but 2 days ago,...

Place car on a steep incline or raise front end up higher than the heater core. Now, add coolant to the radiator as needed, with engine warmed up. It sounds like the radiator is lower than the heater core causing an air lock and if that is the case this will allow the air bubbles to escape.
