Question about 2004 Nissan Maxima
I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima. I have recently had an issue that may be my transmission or my ABS braking system. When I come to a rolling stop my brakes start to pulsate until I come to a complete stop, yet if I make an abrupt stop at a light the brakes are fine. What confuses me is that it will sometimes do it when I go from a complete stop. The nissan dealer told me that it was a computer chip in the ABS system, which I added ($1200) and it seemed to work for about a year, but now it is doing it again. Any help would be appreciated.
I HAD ALMOST THE SAME PROBLEM .THIS CAR HAVE WAT SHOULD BE A RECALL WITH THE ABS SENSORS AT THE WHEEL .WHICH RUST BUIILDS ON THE SPINDLE AND THE BREAK THE SENSORS ..I END UP REPLACING THE BACK SENSORS AND THE SPINDLES .PLUS I WAITED SO LONG THAT THE ABS PUMP ALSO NEEDED REPLACEMENT ..GOT EXPENCIVE EVEN WITH DEALER EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT .I SPENT 1500 DOLLARS

Took my 2004 Altima to the shop and was quoted $2000 to repair the ABS brakes system, I pulled the 10 amp fuse. I no longer have ABS brakes but works like any brake system before ABS brakes were standard equipment.
