1999 Isuzu Rodeo blinking lights

Hello,

I have a 1999 Isuzu rodeo LSE, automatic trans., 2wd.
When I turn it on everything seem to be working right, but all lights (interior and exterior) are blinking, even opening and closing the windows power blinks so it looks like they are been close by small steps. Took it to the shop and I was told that the alternator was overcharging and needed to be replaced, I already change it and the problem is still there. Charging voltage was 14.65 to 14. 89 volts, now with the new alternator is over 15 volts.

Any other advice that could help me please?

Thanks!

Low voltage pulling by what your saying it sounds like your alternator is about to give up seeing that it cant disperse elec. to other units so its draining off the battery

change out the voltage regulator they didnt change your alternator they just rebuilt it or did nothing it sounds like

voltage regulator = adjusts the voltage
some are built on the alternator and is replaced at once with new alternator
others look like a little fin like an amp usually black in color this you will see bolted on the fender right or left this is a voltage regulator

somtimes you get a bad alternator in box when it can be new this is a chance chance cause now most parts are remand.
i still believe its your alternator you either of several things
got ripped off
got a bad alternator in replacement or
you got a bad voltage regulator by itself
looks like this

My SUV sometimes makes a scraping noise when I start it. Could something be loose on the starter? How would I repair it?

sounds like your starter is getting bad. If the starter was recently replaced or taken off, it may need shims. Sometimes even when a starter is new, it may still need shims to line the teeth up with the flywheel teeth. If your starter wasn't touched, than it is starting to go. It's the pendex in the starter. Hope this helps. If you're changing it yourself and need help, I can walk you through it. Cheers from Nova Scotia!

My SUV makes a grinding noise and has a burning smell when I lift the hood. What could it be and how would I repair it?

Take the belt off, and see if that pulley wheel spins freely, If it is seized up, that is where the burning smell came from-belt was running across the seized pulley. If that wheel pulley runs the water pump, you will need to replace it.

I am unable to locate the dip stick for my transmission. I have a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo LSE. Where is it located?

Auto Trans.and manual Rodeo has no dipstick. Fluid levels must be checked from underneath the vehicle on a lift at the shop. It can only be filled from underneath the vehicle as well.
