Question about 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser

The engine turns over but will not start 2003 pt cruiser

    since 1 month ago my pt cruiser gt 2006 has a really weird problem with the start, it works only when the engine is cold but that's usually at morning but when comes afternoon it just won't start until night, that's really annoying !. i have taken the car many times with a mechanic engineer and he doesn't even know where the problem is, he says he has checked all the complete circuit where go the key until the starter ! i am just getting mad with this. i hope someone have solved that problem.

Have the crank sensor checked it may be bad

2003 pt cruiser, ran fine, went in for clutch replacement, mechanic called said clutch work completed, car wont start, claims the engine would turn over, but would not start, turns over fast like no...

Has ALL the wiring been put back ? sounds like he missed a few wires....check high amp fuses too (in case starter fuses blown due to incorrect reassembly).... one more thing.... any fuel in there ?

My 2003 PT CRuiser turns over to start but won't

I would start by checking fuel pressure with a gauge, and scanning the computer for trouble codes.
Low fuel pressure or a problem with the pump could cause the issue, as well as sensors such as the throttle position or engine temp sensor.

Well, you probably broke it. When you see the oil light on, it's trying to tell you something. Something like "get me checked out and repaired or you'll kill me". The lights are not for your entertainment, they're for your education.

Yes, the tumbler is worn, possibly from a heavy key chain or abnormally frequent stop/starts. Ther amy also be a bad connection in the switch connections itself, that may not require a whole new ignition switch.

I have a 2003 PT cruiser w/ the check engine

It senses when the engine pings and the computer will adjust the timing accordingly. It is located in the block.
