Question about 2001 Dodge Caravan

Lights for knobs controlling the HVAC blowers are out

I opened it up, removed the bulb, went to the local AUto parts store and they said I had to contact the manufacturer.

Contacted Dodge, they cannot find the part in their system - can only purchase the control module .

Why are my 2006 honda element odometer and trip lights out?

Seems to be common on this vehicle. According to the owners manual, "note the select/reset knob on the instrument panel (post protruding through bezel on right-hand side of steering wheel) controls the brightness of the instrument panel lights. Turn the knob to adjust the brightness.
Separate adjustments can be made when the headlights are on and off."

If the dimmer doesn't alter the brightness of the cluster when the headlights are on and off, then the bulbs will need to be replaced.
A YouTube video exists to show a beginner mechanic how to remove the bezel with 5 screws to access and replace the bulbs, which can be obtained at any auto parts store.

Im having a problem finding the right resistor at the parts store. They all say for a 1995 explorer but it doesnt work with my female plug. Any suggestions?

Looks like the automatic climate control uses a five pin blower motor resistor or controller. I would guess that the parts store has supplied you with a three or four pin that is for the manual HVAC.

The auto HVAC blower control module looks like a dealer part only. I show a part number 19E624 and it look like it retails for about $250. airjer995_35.jpg

Just want to know the type/number/specs. for the dash ilumination lights in my 2001 Silverado 1500. I have burnt out light bulbs in both the HVAC control panel ((2) and the headlight control subassembly...

Bulb info is so vague online and in basic service manuals, I suggest you stop by local parts store They have application charts where you can lQQk up your vehicle and each individual bulb by industry part# and by wattage. And yes they're 12volt

1. At night there is zero illumination for temp control knobs. It's completely dark. 2. Dash gauges very difficult to read at dusk and night time. (windows are tinted dark) by previous owner. doesn't go...

The HVAC control, if it is the Electronic version, you might want to try unplugging, and plugging it back in. Remove the center trim panel by opening the ash tray, and pulling on each corner. The trim panel is held on with 6 spring clips ( 3 on each side ).

When you have the panel loose ( don't move too far, the HVAC controls and the Passenger Airbga Deactivated light are still hooked up ), un hook the 2 cam over connectors ( circled in blue ). After hooking back up, the HVAC will be off, you need to manually turn it on.
2. The dash lights could be the wrong bulb, or some could be blown out. F150online.com -> Technical Articles section has a thread on removing the dash to change the bulbs.

These are the 2 starting points.

The climate control lights on my 2003 Jetta TDI wagon have suddenly gone out...is there a fuse or something I can check?

There is one bulb (for all three knobs) behind the center knob. Turn the knob to the straight up and down 12 o'clock position and pull the knob straight out. Wrap a soft cloth around the jaws of a pliers, that works the best. Pull the bulb out with a needle nose wrapped with a rubber band. The bulb is a sylvania 2721, available at most auto parts stores. You can also use a small piece of vacuum tubing to pull the bulb out. (pull straight out, don't twist it)

2005 Toyota 4Runner AC temp. control lights are not working.

I am going to guess that the peanut bulb in the knob is burned out.

I had a similar problem with my 2003 4Runner and changed the bulb and it worked fine.

The dealer told me it would take about 8 hours to change the 3 dollar bulb. I looked in my manual and it took me between 5 and 10 minutes tops.

I don't remember what the bulb number is. I do know that I had to get it from a Toyota dealer and not a regular auto parts store.

Hope this helps.
