Open the hood, in the back left (from the front) of the engine compartment, you will find a small black box, lift the cap.... this is your + pole. For the - just use any solid part of the bodywork (or shock studs).

Only a high pressure service valve is used for A/C system servicing. A low pressure service valve is not installed. Perform all A/C system service (ie. discharging, evacuating and charging) through the high pressure service valve only.

You could possibly fry all the main computer controllers in your car from reverse hooking up jumper wires.

Your A6 Quattro's battery is located in the engine bay, in the center up against the firewall. It sits beneath a dust cover, so you will need to remove that to access the battery

Under bonnet on the right side of the car face to windscreen you will find the fuse box / relay plate - engine bay. Here is placed the Data Link Connector (DLC) for Audi A6 Quattro 1997.

I have a 1997 Audi A6 quattro 2.8 with electrical problem

i have a 1997 audi a4 2.8.i just finish replacing the timing belt and spark plug. when i try to crank it the engine does turn over like it wants to crank and it is getting fuel but i am not getting no spark

You will be better off using a Garvin. Factory set up is not cost effective.
