Check charging system light...

I replaced my alternator and now my battery light stays on and also my display panel keeps alerting me to check my charging system. I've taken it to the local shops jus to get a quick check and they've all said that the connections are fine and that there's no electrical problems. Any ideas on how to get the check charging warning to stop, or am I missing something?

The battery light wouold come on, the fan motor would slow when vehicle changed into 3rd gear. Had a local Auto Zone test the battery and alternator but they could'nt get a good reading, said to clean battery connection. Did this and now battery light stays on all time.

The light is on to alert you to the fact that a problem has been detected in the charging system of the car. You need it checked by a professional to determine what that is.

Is it the alternator?

Sounds like a charging system problem. The engine runs off of the alternator but if it is not charging the battery properly the battery will be drained until I engine will no longer run. You need to get the vehicle to a repair shop to have the battery and charging system check for defects

What does the check battery charging system light mean you have just changed the alternator, starter and had the battery checked. The car will stay on battery and the alternator will not pick up the t

The warning light means the alternator is not charging the battery.
Since you have replaced the alternator it could be defective or the problem could be in the wiring harness. There is a fuse or a fuse wire between the alternator and battery which could have blown.
You may need a shop manual to have the test procedures and wiring diagrams.

Battery is only chargeing intermittently I think. Both lights and battery warning dashboard warnings come on, and stay on when I start the car. I believe the lights icon is only to alert you to a failed...

You need to measure the charging voltage and current using a multimeter while Rev'ing the engine. If there is no clean flow to the battery then you need to start from the alternator, the output ac and the charging regulator section which rectifies and controls the charging. The alternator can be taken out and checked individually , if there is a steady AC flow. Check the battery ground and also the charging regulator which is usually an extra unit- trace the lines of the alternator to this unit.

Battery will not stay charged

Check the battery strength and then double check your alternator to make sure it's charging.. I installed 3 alternators, new off the shelf, on one vehicle, and all three were duds (4th one worked fine). If the battery does not need replacing, and the alternator is charging, double check and make sure no components are left on such as a light in the glove box.
