1995 328i Over heating

Ive found the thermostat broken, one of the arms completely snapped..Removed the part from the car, didnt fit a new one. operated the car without a thermostat..but car keeps overheating with no warm air coming into the cabin...I suspect blocked Heater Matrix or broken Water pump !
How can i tell if the water pump is knackered ? Any help would be great.

If the water pump was bad you should hear it or if the bearings were bad, then the serpentine belt would likely fall off. run the car until hot and open the cap for the radiator. If there is pressure then the pump is working. And running without a thermostat just keeps a constant flow iwth no engine temperature regulation. I would put a thermostat in and see how the heater works after that.

Remove citroen c3 rear door panel

Check out how the door panels are attached to the car. Most panels use screws and bolts but others have snap-in fittings. Gather all the tools you need for removing the door panels. If the panel is attached with screws and bolts, you need a screwdriver or ratchet and socket. Car door panels with snap-in fittings are easily removed with a flathead screwdriver.
Locate where the screws and bolts are before starting. These are usually found in the arm rest area, along the bottom or sometimes near the door lights.
Roll down the car door window. Begin removing all screws and bolts that hold the door panel onto the car. If your car has snap-in fittings, pry gently on the bottom corner of the door panel until the fittings pop out.
Remove the power window control panel if your car has power windows. The control panel should pry out easily, and then you unplug the wiring harness from the back and place it to the side.
Use an L pick and flashlight when locating a manual window crank. Look behind the window crank and slide the pick under the edge of the metal clip that holds the crank in place. Remove the clip and pull the crank off.
Remove the door handle by unscrewing the small screw located in the center. Gently pull the door handle out until you see the back of the handle and unclip the rod from the door handle. This should remove the handle unless the handle and door lock are attached, then you just unclip the rod from the lock and remove them both together.
Unscrew the cap off rear upper corner door panel locks. These don't have a rod attaching them to the handle and unscrew separately from the door handle.
Pop the door panel off after you've removed everything. Gently pry on the bottom edge of the door panel until it releases. Pull out and up to completely remove the door panel.

I replaced the snap ring and retainer because they were both broke and still no luck with overdrive working

Overdrive would not engage at 35+ mph. Took trans pan off, removed filter, dropped valve body out. Found broken snap ring on overdrive servo. Removed and replaced snap ring. Opened valve body and found 1 of the broken pieces stuck in a valve. Replaced all valve body gaskets. Put valve body back in with 95 in/lbs torque. Put in new filter. Pan on with 120 in/lbs or 10 ft/lbs. Refill with trans fluid. Run through gears. Lower vehicle. Test drive.

Heat blows only when car is in drive when coming to stop light it blows cold air. Have added more coolant but it has not fixed the problem

Hello,

You problem sounds like a "Blend Door" issue, you have these doors that open & close and everything in between to adjust air temp. These doors have a "peg" that is connected to an arm or wire just like on a ten speed bike to shift gears, that peg may have broken off.

Another issue may be a stuck open thermostat, if you have a temp gauge is it running at normal temp? If the thermostat is stuck open then heat may become an issue.

I have found several 2007 Chevrolet Impala blend door issues here in fixya.com.

Hope this helps.

I have a 1997 kia overheating i have removed the thermostat

You have to install a new Thermostat because if the motor has no water pump thermostat sends all the coolant to the radiator and therefore the engine never warmed and you will not have heat because the coolant never be heated

You can't put these back together. Either hit the dealer and pay way to much for one or Call you local auto recycler for a used replacement.

The window keep sliding down. What should I check first. Do the window motor need to be replaced?

I have had two Roadmaster Wagons (we love 'em) with the same problem. The problem I found was only in a plastic clip that the actuator arms snaps into. I have not found an easy solution to replace, but it can be done. Take off the door panel and lower the window some (with help of a friend) so you can see the track at the bottom of the window. In that track there are plastic clips with a socket that a ball from the actuator arms snap into. You will probably see that one (or both of those) is broken. You need to slide out the old clip (you will need to bend out the indentation on the metal track so you can get it out) and slide in a new clip from a salvage yard. Now the hard part is pressing the ball from the actuator arm back into the socket of the new clip. I found I needed a special pair of pliers that opened wide enough without requiring the handle to open too far. After it is snapped back in, you should be ready to put the door panel back on and hit the road.

Engine air filter cover doesnt want to snap back on

Remove the filter and either clean it with water and let it dry completely before installing. Or buy a new filter. Place it so that it fits firmly down at the botom. the try to clip on the cover snapping the hard clip down first. then the opposite side. then snap on the others. it may have bent a little. If it fits loose. try bending it into shape .
