1994 Taurus heat control problem

I am getting coolant to the heater core but when I turn the selector switch from cold to hot it still blows cold.

My AC selector switch is working and properly switches from floor to vent to defrost, what should I look for on the heat problem?

First check to see if the water to the heater core is hot. if not then you need ti check the hot cold vale . it is an electric valve that opens to let the hot water bvy.

SOMEHOW I BELIEVE YOUR TWO INTAKE & RETURN HEATER HOSES THAT FEED THE HEATER CORE HAVE BEEN REVERSED. EITHER THAT OR a plugged heater core

My 1994 Chevy Blazer S-10 is not blowing out any air when I turn the heater on...

Is the fan turning on? I assume so.. when you change the hot/cold selector do you hear the flaps inguage? could be the linkage there. Otherwise, check your coolant level - make sure your heater core isn't plugged (let engine heat up, then see if the heather both heater hoses going into the firewall are warm). If one is colder than the other, flush the heater core.

Engine temp is up but the heat is blowing cold. what should i check?

Check the level of the antifreeze (coolant) in your reservoir. If it is just a little low, it will not flow properly through the heater core.

If the coolant level is ok, check the temperature of the hoses going in and out of the heater core. Your Taurus is not equipped with a heater control valve, so there should be hot coolant circulating through the heater core at all times. If one hose is really hot and the other feels cool or cold, then your heater core is most likely clogged with corrosion and debris. (If this is the case, I recommend a complete cooling system flush)

If both hoses are hot, then there is a problem with the blend-air door inside the car. It could be a broken door or a malfunctioning blend-air door actuator.

did you burp the system after you where done. The heater d-core is the highest place in the cooling system and will be the first to collect an air pocket. Running the vehicle at idle with the cap off will help purge the air out.

The a/c will turn on any time the mode switch is on defrost. When the heat selector is turned to hot the air will first go through the a/c evaporator core and then through the heater core. When the heat selector is turned to cold air will only go through the evap core. So regardless if the a/c compressor is on or not with the heat selector on hot it should blow hot air.

Did the heat work before you replaced the other parts?

If not than it is possible that the heater core is plugged. Especially if the coolant was really dirty before you started.

4.6 liter has one heater hose warmer than the other. may be plugged core,or is ther a fuse to climate control switch?

Look for a heater valve on one of the hoses if there is no valve i would say its a plugged heater core.

Heater blows cold

If no coolant flowing through the heater core then ther is no heat. There are 2 possible root causes needed to check out: 1- THE VALVE TO CONTROL THE COOLANT FLOWING TO THE HEATER CORE IS NOT OPENING AS DESIRED. 2- THE HEATER CORE GOT CLOGGED UP AND NEED TO BE FLUSHED.

1994 pontiac firebird HAS NO HEAT

Okay. warm up vehicle, get radiator hoses hot.  Turn on heater, fan on low.  Grip both rubber heater hoses close to the firewall, from the engine compartment side.  They should be too hot to hold for long.  If they are not hot, then you have a lack of coolant circulation to the heater hoses.  If they are hot then access heater core, behind glove box area.  Blend door which moves as you chose HOT or Cold, should be cable controlled, move the controls and be sure the door is actually moving.
