2002 Jeep does not idle

I have a 2002 jeep liberty limited, i bought it used in 2004 april. it ran fine until november of that yr. when it turned cold and damp it would die at idle after warming up to temperature. as long as i could give it gas it was ok, but stopping at a light or stopsign it dies. i have had it at a chryser dealer for 2 weeks and numerous private mechanics and they find nothing wrong !
when spring comes around it runs fine !

There is a rubber vacuum hose, about 1" in diameter, that runs from the intake (center top of the engine) to a spot near the master cylinder (towards the driver). I gurantee you this has cracks at both ends, and may have even fallen off from the intake. Very easy fix, should only coast about 2 bucks.

Well alot of people tend to think that just because they have a vehicle that is new or within 10 yrs of new...that they can get in it and strart up and just take off...well...the truth is and especially in Winter months is that you have to warm up your vehicle till the water tempature gets to where it needs to be ...warmed up.....in order for all the systems in your vehicle to work properley.....so Warm up your vehicle everyday before you drive it....don't just hop in and take off......This is my solution to this problem, especially if it is a seasonal..problem.....Sincerely, Mike

I want to change a 3.7 motor off of 2004 jeep Liberty 2wd in order to fit my 2002 jeep liberty 4wd?

engine swaps are complex as is mixing engines to wrong transmissions.
so both are 3.7L, is that it?
you never said what exacty didnt fit.
the flex plate to TC
or TC to A/T pump side mismatch.
????????
if its the flex then get the correct flex plate.
or call jeep parts? ask them for the right parts
the side of the trans has the trans part number
my guess is all you need is the correct flex plate for engine to TC.

Rear windshield wiper sprayer doesn't work but the fronts work fine 2002 jeep liberty limited

The rear wiper has its own pump motor. pull the hose from the wiper and have someone engage to see if there is a clog. do the same at the motor. if bo liquid comes out then its the pump. also check fluid level in reservoir as well as a possible secondary reservoir

My jeep shakes alot too when idling- runs ok while driving--

The intake air sensor and the coolant temp sensors regulate the cold run like the mechanical chokes of earlier cars. It would be a good idea to have them checked by a competent mechanic before buying or paying for hunt ant peck solutions. Good Luck, Ned
