I have a 92 Dodge Dakota LE. its the 3.9 V6 and i bought a new ignition switch for it because when i turned the key the engine wouldn't turn over. what would be my more likely senario...starter, starter relay, or park/neutral position switch?

Jan 22, 2009 - have a 1993 dodge dakota sport that wont start. when you turn the key on there is no power to the fuel pump and does not fire. any ideas ... Its a 3.9 V6 by the way. If its an automatic trans, have you checked the neutral safety switch ? Will it crank in neutral ? Are you getting power on the small wire at the starter solenoid coming from the key switch ?
I have a 93 dodge dakota pick up. When I turn the key I get nothing, The radio and the lights work fine. I had starter checked and the battery changed, It will run if you push it to start but not with the key.
Time for a new ignition switch. This just the switch portion and not the tumbler. You should be able to still use your old tumbler and key. Good luck to you. Thanks for using Fixya!
