How can I remove a timing gear off an 89 ford f150?

One of the gears is fiber and not aluminum. It's the one on the camp shaft that I'm having a problem with.

Hi I have a oil leak from the drive shaft in my 1250 bandit k9 , looks like the oil seal , does any one no if it can be replaced without pulling engine to bits , regards graham

You mean shifter seal? This is a chain bike, so there is no shaft..

Yes those seals usually pop out from the outside after gear lever is removed.. be careful not to score the aluminum housing when removing - if in doubt use a thin layer of Permatex Ultra Black (arguably the only RTV that shd ever be sold) and leave over night..

1995 camry goes in gear but won't move. I think

The 1995 Toyota Camry was available with either a 2.2 liter 4-cylinder, rated at 125 horsepower (130 in 1992-1994) and 145 lb-ft of torque or an aluminum block 3.0 liter V6, rated at 188 horsepower (185 in 1992) and 203 lb-ft of torque.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At what mileage should I have the timing chain changed? Now has 103,000

with a 2.5? the 4 cylinder used a fiber gear aginst an aluminum gear,
they get noisey when they wear out,if it sounds like it's noisey it's time to change it,(have a cool trick for that also,GM says pull the camshaft, but you don't have to) if it's a 2.8 it's a chain ,it will go another 50,000

How do you replace a ignition modulel on a 1977 ford f150 m in the distributer

On the 1977 the ignition module is an aluminum box that should be mounted somewhere in the engine compartment. The ignition pick-up is mounted inside the distributor and you must remove the drive gear from the shaft in order to pull the shaft out and slide the pick-up off the hub of the distributor. This is not an easy job and most people try replacing the module first as it is usually the problem.

Transmission is not shifting into third gear. I

Generally, if a transmission shop has told you that you do not need a new transmission, you do not need a new transmission. Let them replace the shift solenoid (they won't have to remove the transmission to do this, just the pan, fluid and filter) and tell them to use the Sonnax Heavy Duty 2-3 Shift valve as well (this can be done without removing the transmission too).
Then if it doesn't shift, you will need a complete rebuilt. Tell them you want a new torque converter, a hardened input shaft, a 29-element Borg-Warner input sprag, The Beast sun shell, a new reverse drum, an extra wide Carbon Fiber power band, a Sonnax .490" Boost valve, a Sonnax cast-aluminum pinless forward accumulator, the Sonnax "Super Hold" 1-2 and 3-4 servos, all Alto Red Eagle frictions and full-thickness Kolene steels, as a minimum over a stock rebuild. 4L60E's are weak and die at about 100,000-150,000 miles, sooner if you tow regularly. This build will cost you about 500 bucks more than a stock rebuild, but you will then have a bullet-proof transmission.

1993 grand am transmission 4T60E

Not exactly sure of what you are referring to, but I'll guess. If the spocket you are trying to remove is the one under the large clutch plate (4th gear), you'll have to remove the axle clip in the differential, then pull out axle, 4th clutch hub, and then the sprocket will come off. Did i guess right?
