find out the problem the blower was still good, it was the resistor that went bad and had to be replaced.......let me warn u now if anyone has this same problem. found the nearest chevy dealership to get the part , cost about $41. Any other place like murray's or autozone dont carry it in stock and has to be order which take 4-5 days, considering it winter time now.no one wants to wait that long.....

Is the car tempature gauge working ? Another words is the car operating at tempature? it could be just that your thermostat is stuck open and probably needs replaced

Blower motor won't shut off on a 2005 chevy monte carlo

Your post is not making sense. If the blower motor wasn't shutting off, how would replacing it cause anything to change? Clearly, there is a problem with the power supply TO the motor. If you want the motor to turn off, you need to check WHY the power to the motor is not cut off when the switch is turned to the off position. Probably a bad switch. Or it could be the blower motor resistor even, albeit a lot less likely.

I have a 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo...which has dual heat and the heat on my passenger's side works but doesn't work on the driver's side.

There a heater control valves behind the dash which is either broken or have gotten stuck. The valve behind the dash act as on and off switch as as you would turn your faucet on and off. they tend to get stuck due to heat. The valve basically allowed hot antifreeze water to flow though the heater core giving you heat. when the valve broken or stuck open, the hot antifreeze will continuous flow to the heater core, therefore is the reason why you get constant heat. It a nightmare to fix, you will have to take the dash apart to get to it. the part run somewhere in 40 bucks. if your not mechanical incline, my suggestion would be the next time you get oil change from your local chevy dealership is to ask around those GM mechanic (Do not ask the Manager) and see who does side work; negoiate with him this way you will save big buck on dealership shop hours. Have only authorize GM to do the repair, not your local repairshop. Tearing into any automotive dashboard its every mechanics nightmare. Good luck!!!

2005 chevy monte carlo ss, heated seat, driver side, quit working

If the switch lights up when you turn it on but the seat doesnt get hot, it is most likely the heating element in the seat. If the switch doesnt light up, you have a power or ground issue.

Heat control lights, is there a fuse

This would not be a fuse problem. If the lighting in the control unit are out, the whole control will need to be replaced.
