Question about 2003 Ford Focus
The blower on my 03 silverado went out except for speed #5 the highest setting. I replaced the resistor, located at the feet of the passenger, and it brought back speeds 2-5. But the next day it didnt work again? What could be causing the resistor to go out?
I had the same issue & changed th resistor board 2 or 3 times. I took the fan out & had it checked for electrical issue. Was told that the fan was pulling too much amperage causing the resistor to overheat. replaced the fan and the issue stopped. Note that i bought an aftermarket fan motor due to it being $100 cheaper than OEM. That motor had a slight whirring noise (3 different AftMkt motors) but for the extra $100 I just put up with it. Turn the radio on and it masks the "whir"
