Question about 1996 Nissan Sentra
Recently bought daughter 1996 Nissan Sentra. Began idling really low and cutting off. Took back to the dealer -- he thought it could be the sensor, but tried cleaning the engine instead. It ran okay while he had it, but the next day it started cutting off again, and now the engine light stays on. I also tried to fill the windshield wiper reservoir a couple of weeks ago, and I heard a large "gulp" sound, and when I turned on the engine and looked underneath the car, I thought I saw a little bit of leaking. Other fluids (power steering, brake fluid, oil) looked okay -- I don't know how to check transmission fluid.
If this is an automatic there will be a dip stick if it is a manual you do not use transmission fluid to find out what sencor is bad take car to advance auto parts they have a digatal reader and can tell wou what sencer went bad and where it is located
