How often do you change the oil on a 2003 VW Beetle TDI? We used amsoil 5W40.

It is universally recommended to change your oil every 3 months or 3000 miles which ever comes first.

Driver's seat that won't lock

seat is held in with 4 bolts. at least 1 electriocal connecter ( 2 if heated). take off headrest, pull the seat and see what's broke/stuck. shouldn't take too long

Turn the lights on and pull the control straight out toward you. The green foglight symbol will turn on.

99 volkswagen beetle timing belt replacement. having problem getting crankshaft bolt off

Shouldn't need to remove the big centre bolt to remove the pulleys. There are 4 allen key headed bolts that hold the pulleys onto the end of the crankshaft.Remove these and the pulleys and you can then remove the timing belt covers and get to the belt.

Yes, it is. If you go to and look at the "TDI How To" section there is lots of info, and a step by step description of timing belt replacement.

2003 beetle convert. back window

some of these do not glue down some have bolt clamps check to see if it doesn't have this you can buy the glue (tar) for your windo from any auto parts not a hard problem to fix
