Need to replace driver side mirror for Camry 2002, Power mirror

Hi,

I am new to cars and this is my first car and my wife had an accident and left the driver-side mirror.

I need to replace the driver site mirror for my 02 camry. This is power mirror. Can you please tell me how to do it?

Thanks
Harry

I bought a mirror to replace my broken one on my 2002 Camry. If I pop off the black triangle, will I be able to access the wiring or do I need to take off the door panel? How does the door panel come off? It is powered but not heated.

I have the same problem. Getting the replacement from the net stores seems easy enough, how difficult is the process of replacing the mirrors?

You can go to a nearby junkyard and watch the clerk take the thing off.
I replaced it on my 96 Camry and it was a piece of cake. Just three
bolts and a harness, no door panel came off. Not sure about the 2002.
Does the piece look like it is chipped between the door panels?

Make sure that the car is warm, because the first thing that you have to do is pull off the black triangular plastic trim behind the mirror, on the inner side of the door. If the car is cold, this trim panel will break. Start at the top, and pull it towards you. Once the trim is off, you are going to see three 10 millimeter nuts, and a wire harness. Before you remove the nuts, get back to me as to exactly what the wire harness looks like; there are 2 different types of mirrors, one requires the door panel to be removed.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

How do I install a driver-side power mirror?

Start by getting an "easyout" kit for the screws that held the old one in. You may need a small drill to start the easyout, but that will let you remove the old one cleanly.

You may be able to splice the wires inside the door, or run the wires from the new mirror into the car somewhere. . .

Same problem. motor works

adjust your mirror to center with your hand manually and try the switch again. if it still dosn't work switch to the other side mirror and see if the other side goes up/down. if it does then replace the side that's not going up and down....you have to replace the whole assembly. can't just replace motor.

How to replace the driver side mirror on Camry 96

if just the mirror pop it in. use a little grease on the slots so it slips in. if replacing whole mirror assembly take off the small triangular plastic inside the door. pull from top edge it should pop out. take off 3 nuts. if the plug for the mirror is inside the door panel then you have to remove the whole door panel.

I need to replace the mirror glass on a 1994 camry driver side p

Start with a good thick pair of leather gloves, a putty knife, and a tall trash can. Place the trash can below the mirror, tilt the mirror inward so you get a hold of the outer edge, and carefully pry the remaining pieces of mirror from the backing plate. Do not apply any pressure directly to the backing plate, or you may damage the gears on the electric motor. You should be able to pick up a new mirror and adhesive at your local auto parts store. Use masking tape and a couple of wood blocks to hold the glass in place while the adhesive sets (blocks against the glass, then wrap the whole thing in tape).

Mirror

Remove the LF door trim that is on the inside of the car. If there is a white plug, simply remove the 3 bolts and replace the mirror. If the white plug is not visible, you need to remove the door panel.
