88 ranger 2.3l...replaced fuel pump, filter, plugs, plug wires, ignition module, coil pack. Wont start. ECU was replaced last yr. Initial spark when the key first bumps...then nothing. Wont start.

There is a fuel cutoff switch if the truck was in any type of collision. They also have relays that control all of the things you replaced. Start there and do a visual inspection of relays.

Sometimes it starts and runs great. a minute latter I try to start it and nothing. No spark at all at plug. Already replaced coil. any ideas

Check the plugs at the ignition system. Wires tend to break at the back of the plugs. Year make and model helps.

Spark plug does not get a spark, I have relapsed the coil and distributor cap but still nothing can someone help??

you don`t say year model engine size of your car.you also don`t say if you changed the rotor so i`ll assume you did.you may have bad plug wires that need replacing.if its just one cylinder that is not firing you may be able to replace the single wire but you should replace the wire set as others will start to fail.replace them one at a time.

1990 Chevy s10 won't start, have replaced plugs, wires, timing chain, fuel pump, distributor, starting fluid nothing helps

Have you checked for a broken timing chain, that would be the next step. Make sure number one cylinder is up on compression stroke when the timing mark is on 0 degrees BTDC on the crank pulley. Pull the plug and feel the pressure as it nears TDC.

My car won't start, seems like no spark?/,just turns over and over

before u replace the whole dist. have u first checked for fuel delivery on the carb or fuel rail, and then if u have that then check the spark plug wire by removing one while cranking by arcing to metal , if you see spark then dist is good if not then replace, but if dist is good and still no start then check coil pack and or all fuses

Car wont start in the rain/cold weather changed everything electrcal wires /plugs /roter/ spark plugs /all sensors /still wont start cant go to work /do nothing

Check for fuel delivery problem by spraying starting fluid into the intake and observing whether it starts for a few seconds or not. If it does start, and dies, then the fuel pump may be at fault. If it doesn't start at all, check for spark with a spark tester off of one of the spark plug wires.

Will not start

Did you install the correct plugs, and did you check the gap? Also check all wires again to make sure nothing was pulled off, or loosened by accident.

1989 Honda Prelude won't start

I suspect that your spark plug wires or your distributor is going out. Check your spark wires and distributor. To do that take out #1 spark plug wire from the spark plug. Next take out your spark plug then put it in the spark plug wire. Then turn on car and take a look at the spark plug to see if it's getting a spark. Do this with all the spark plug. If it is your spark plug wire I would replace all of them.
