In most cases this is caused by a defective rotating clock spring contact to the airbag from the steering column, the system is then disabled by the airbag diagnostic monitor until the system is repaired

After the light kept blinking on and off shortly after my windows wouldn't work. Come to find out it was a wire that goes into the door. I took the rubber cover off of the harness that went to the door and a negative wire was broke in half. I guess it off set my whole system because after I spliced it everything works now. Thanks for the input.

Have someone hook up a diagnostic scanner to the vehicle and see what the codes are for the airbag system. As emisionwizstated, could be the "clockspring". It may also be a "seatbelt pretensioner". Check the codes to be certain though.

Can't -- it will just come back

The air bag is turned off for now,

Air bag light

It means that there is a problem with your air bag. It should be blinking a code. Count the blinks. In otherwords it should blink twice, pause and then blink 7 more times indicating a code 27 which would be a burned out bulb on PAD. Count blink code and the google your truck year and air bag code and then the code and see what the forums are saying about it and what to check.

My 2000 nissan pathfinder airbag light keeps blinking, it never stops blinking, even when im driving.

It is telling you that there is a problem with the air bag system and you will need to have the error code pulled with a scanner to identify what the problem is. Sometimes they will start blinking after you reach a certain amount of miles(usually 100,000) because the air bag system has to be re-inspected after a certain amount of years or mileage.

Air bag light blinks anti brake light on

Depending on when you start counting the air bag blinks...1-5 or
5-1...that means it won't work. (Good news, if ya don't want it to.) Ford assured me it will NOT activate.

Sorry I can't help with the brake light, but...I'd check the fluid level & if the brakes work fine, I wouldn't concern myself with it.

Air bag light blinking

get this checked out asap. This indicates the air bag system has a problem, and may not deploy in the event of an accident. Did you just purchase the car w/ this problem, or have u had it a while? I ask, because if u purchased it w/ the blinking light, it could indicate the car was in an accident, the air bag deployed, and it wasn't replaced when repairs were made. That's the worse case scenario, get it checked, hopefully it's something not that serious. Let me know how u make out Curt

Air bag

If the air bag light is blinking count the blinks for the code. Example.. If the air bag light flashes once and then a short pause and then two blinks you would have a code 12. and so on. If it just stays on you will need to take it into a repair shop and get it checked. My best guess without looking at it would be that the clockspring is not working properly. Most of the time when the clockspring goes out other things stop working like the horn or cruise control or something that is on the steering wheel. Hope this helps.
