I have the same problem, a few days the right head light started to flicker and then just went dim. cleaned the connections good and replaced the bulb. I am sure there has to be a short or bad wiring somewhere. I been told that many people have had the same problem and only the dealer can fix it. any helpful ideas ?

2004 Cavalier Day/dim lights not working

I finally got mine fixed!! It was the crossover wires between headlights(the wires that run in front of the radiator). One wire was torn into. Spliced them and taped back together. Hope this works for you!! I also used something called wire caps that help hold the spliced wires together. I found this solution on search engine where someone else had suggested this. My only problem was no dim lights, but all the other lights worked fine.
