Question about 2004 Kia Optima
I put new batteries in the fob and it no longer opens the doors, trunk and the panic alarm does not work. Took the fob to the dealer who tested it and said it is not the fob and to make an appointment to bring the car in and they would check it out. The service person acted like this was going to be costly and not covered under the warranty. They also acted like the car was "old" with heavy mileage...I will have had it four years in 01/09 and it has 47K on it.
You need to reprogram it ok this is what you do turn the key to the on position but do not crank it take the clicker and aim it at the lower dash driver side of sterring wheel press the lock button a few times then turn off key remove key and try clicker this should fix it
