0n the back side of the motor (the side closest to the firewall ) on the engine block there are two sensors. One is the knock sensor and the other is ignition timing sensor. The round looking sensor is the knock sensor.

Ok have you checked for power at the icm ? There should be two plugs side by side one with six wires and one with two wires. Unplug the one with six wires and check for power. With the plug facing you it should be the one on the far left ( L ) K A B G H ( L ) is the one you want to check. Battery voltage should be avialable there with key in the on position. If the voltage is 7 volts or less you need to repair the primary circuit from the ingnition switch to the icm.

95 Buick Regal will not crank when engine warm wait 20 or so minutes and it will crank what causes this issue.?

Define crank ? Does the engine spin when you turn the key to the start position ? This is referred to as engine cranks . now yours won't start an run ! This is a cranks no start condition ! When it won't start an run check for spark at a coil , your vehicle has three if a V-6 . Pull both plug wires off same coil an crank engine , is there spark ? Yes - No . No spark , ignition module could be bad , crankshaft position sensor , Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

Dont start replaced cks css coil sensor

I assume you mean it will not spark.
You would need to check the ignition module the coils are attached to for power and signals from the crank and cam sensors.
You may need a shop manual for the testing procedure.

No spark at coil pack changed coil still no spark on 2 and 5

Try switching your coil packs around see if you can get spark out of the 2 & 5 with a different coil pack in that location. If that doesn't work maybe your ICM they can test the ICM at autozone, but can't test the coil packs.

Just need to know if the pass key system on a 1993 buick lessabre will cause the 3.8 engine to crank but not start no spark aii components replaced including ecm

Have you replaced the ignition module uner the coils. The pass key cuts off the starter and fuel does not effect spark. if you have no spark crank sensor cam sensor ignition module coils and wiring are all that is there.

Need location of ecm/ecu on 88-93 buick regal. parked car next day would not start,no spark , center coil bad , replaced it car ran fine for about 2 weeks, now car won't start no spark but coils test good,...

my name is David ,I live in Austin Texas and do alot of mecchanic / technician work around town. I do have my certifications and have work at dealerships and Autozone as well...with all that being said... if you are not getting spark on this vehicleand it is not likely the coils or the module. The crank position sensor the device responsible for reading the angle ( timing ) of the crankshaft. The crankshaft has notches in it that pass either through or near the crank position sensors magnetic tip. The ignition module then interprets the signal and allows signal ( electrical current) to pass into module and on to ignition coils...then on to spark plugs via spark plug wires/cables. The crank position sensor is located on the back side of the engine in the gap between the engine and transmission housing. it is held in place by one 8mm (metric size) or 5/16 standard size bolt. Use a wrench though unless you have small hands or a 1/4 drive socket set. 9.99 times out of ten it will start if there are no other issues... your welcome
