I'm currently having the same issue. Starting cold it runs fine, but after it warms up, it begins to sputter and struggle and ultimately die. I changed the fuel pump, the fuel lines, checked the hoses, checked the float in the carb and every thing else I can think of.

The issue started after I replaced my starter as the casing on it cracked and had to be replaced. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, and I certainly can't see why it would, but there is a loose green wire on the wiring harness to the starter. I'm currently looking to see what that connects to and if it's important to the engine running smoothly when warm.

1989 Isuzu LS pickup. We have the same problem. When the truck is first started it runs fine. When it warms up it runs very rough and dies. It will not restart unless you let it set for a few minutes, and then you can get another couple of miles before it dies again. We have put in a new fuel pump, fuel filter, and the strainer on the fuel pump pickup three times. We removed the tank and had it professionaly cleaned and lined. We have taken it to two local shops. Nothing we have done has fixed the problem. I am fairly tired of being told it is the filter or pump. My experiences, along with the others posted here clearly indicate a deeper problem with these Isuzus.

Did you actually change the fuel filter??? It sound like this is the problem. Did you also check the pick-up strainer on the pick-up tube on the fuel pump. this sometime also get plug up.

Received bad gas car is spuddering when I drive, what can I do?

The first thing you should have done was go back to the gas station and complained. If you can prove you bought the gas there, the station is on the hook for the cost of repairs. They have insurance to cover it. Then you take it to a shop to get it fixed.
You may have to change the filter screen in the tank since there is no external fuel filter on the car. And that injector may have to be replaced too.

While driving my 91 capri it just shuts off. no spuddering or anything?

Sounds like ignition module in distributor going bad...they are electronic and get heat sensitive...when they cool off a little the car starts and runs again...fairly simple to pull the distributor cap, rotor and then replace the module...Chris

I have a 1990bmw 325i. i turned the car off one day. ran in the store. ten minutes later came out and the car wouldnt start. left the car. came back thirty minutes later the car started. drove the car 25...

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

Looses power why driving has trouble starting you can be going down the highway then it starts to spit and spudder all the sudden pull off and shut it off for about 15 minutes or so try to fire it up it...

A good pump and a bad one look identical; problem with the bad one is that after running for a while, it gets hat, begins to bind and then stops. Once cooled down, it will repeat the process. Even when pressure testing, it may "seem" fine but not be., 'till it gets bad enough to show up during testing. Your crank position sensor can act the same way, so can an ignition coil. (internal expansion during heating shows internal shorting.) When in "no start" check for spark. This should separate fuel problem from ignition related stuff. Then, go from there. Do real testing...guessing and replacing parts can cost you a fortune.

My car wont start. electrical is good but it sounds like when you try and start a car with no gas. my fuel light was on when i killed the car and it had been running fine. it wouldnt start 15 min. later....

Best thing to try is hit the gas tank with a mallet when someone is cranking the car, if it starts it's deffinetly the fuel pump that need changing.

The gas filter could partially be at fault, but have a fuel pressure test done, and also have the throttle position sensor checked. good luck.
