Hi rgr_conslti, I just took my dash appart yesterday to install the auto starter..
You either have a light that's going away.. or a wire that somehow's shorting somewhere.. I don't think the last option is possible because there's only one connector going to that instrument pannel.
You can fix it yourself! Not any of this stuff is destructive or will break anything! First go buy a replacement bulb, that could be found with the name "Instrument panel, Cluster and switches, Bulb, #1 2 or 3" should be all the same part..
1 - Unscrew the 2 screws that are in the BLACK round part of your console and put it aside. (If you put your head on the seat cushion and look around the RPM and odometer, you will see the two wholes.) NOTE: You might have to fight a but because there's 3 or 4 clips that are retaining it.. or a little plastic border underneat that part..
2 - Not you have the big round & grey thing that protects your instrument. There's 2 screws on the left & righ side and 1 in the middle on a metal holder. Take that appart now, there's 2 or 3 plastic pins near the windshield, just take it ou slowly, it comes out easily..
3 - Now you have the RPM/oometer (Cluster assy) module ready to be taken out, Just unscrew it (to screw on the metal holder) and unplug it from the connector (where all the wires come in) I had to press the release tip in the middl and take a small flat scredriver to loose it.. you may have more luck than me..
4 - Now take the module in you hand. On the back, there are round plastic caps, a little smaller than a quarter. This is where the bulb is, there is 2 lights bulb per dial. You just need to unscrew counterclockwise and it come out pretty easily..
I suggest you buy the bulb before, If you have a autoshop nearby, you can drive with the instrument... but don't do speeding ;)
Put it back together and there you are!! :)
