Test the control switch, hold the switch down while you operate the switch, one terminal will light besides the one that is always hot with the key on, use a cheap 12 volt test light, this is the easiest way to diag a power window motor.

Hyundai ix35 2012 window lock stuck. passenger window half down and cant get it to move up or down

Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.

VW bettle 2000 power window fell down power motor works but won't lift window drivers side

You may have a number of problems, all can be answered by removing the door pnl and inspecting. The window may have fallen out of the track, the window motor may have fallen out of the regulator, the motor's drive system may have stripped or broken, the regulator itself may have failed or broken or the window is no longer attached to the regulator. Pull the pnl and start inspecting. Good luck!

Passenger window wont go up

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. The window regulator is what causes the window to go up. If it is a power window, you probably have a bad wire, loose wire, or bad connection. You need to take the panel off and have a look. The window regulator, if powered windows, will have small rubber wheels hooked to the window to push it up or down. Make sure it is not broke or loose. If it is not, you need to test the wiring and inspect all connections. If all other windows work, it is either due to wiring or a defective part to the window.

2001 volkswagon cabrio power windows on driver side wont go up and passenger window wont go down, stopped working all at the same time

The Cabrio electric window issues are most often related to a bad Window regulator. My wife owns a 2002 Cabrio, that had a mis-behaving drivers window. After inspecting it, I found one of the cable roller guides was broken, causing the cable to snag when using the window open / close. I had a local garage order the regulator for me, and then I disassembled the drivers door and installed the new regulator (problem is now solved). Additionally, her passenger window stopped working, however, if you listened carefully, you could here a click sound when the button was pushed. I took this door apart as well, removing the regulator, I found it was jammed. Carefully, I removed the cover concealing where the cable rolls up, and was able to free the pressure. Once this was done, the window worked fine.

Winow goes down won't go back up. swith is

There is no type of sensor in that system, however the problem could be a broken wire inside of the weather boot that runs between the door and the body of the vehicle. (The broken wire(s) will most likely be inside of the driver side door weather boot, but it could also be inside of the weather boot on the door that has the window problem)

If the window does go part of the way back up then most likely the window regulator assembly or the drive gear between the regulator assembly and the power window motor is damaged, and the door panel will have to be removed to inspect for the actual problem.

Here is a wiring diagram of a typical power window circuit for that year and vehicle to help assist you.

Driver power window on 2004 dodge dekota wont go up or down

Check the relay of the window. Inspect the assembly inside the door panel. It may be just a stuck up motor. Tap it a bit and see if it will run. It if does not, check if it runs without any load. IT may have gone bad.

Inspect the assembly if the gears are not meshing well. You may just need to tighten up a few bolts or re-install it.
