I can only get my 300m with a 3.5 liter v6 to start with the cam sensor either unhooked or pulled out of the hole and away from metal.
I did a motor swap (old motor still ran, just squealed alot because of some issue internally) and the new used motor wont start, I swapped my known working cam sensor over and still no start. I only get spark on cylinders 1 and 4. Then if I unplug the cam sensor it gets spark on all 6 and runs...
Could the cam sensor that came with my used motor AND my prior known working cam sensor both have failed??

When you unplug the cam sensor it runs?what that mean is that most likely your sensor is bad..reason for that is when your cam sensor is out you unplug will run because it forces the computer to get a reading/signal from the crankshaft sensor or somewhere else like that..and when you plug it in it is getting a bad reading from the cam sensor wich will cause it not to my advise is your cam sensor is bad..

05 nissan maxima no start replaced camshaft sensor bank 1&2 still gives PO345 code fuel pump works but still no start

You need to have a live data scanner hooked up to verify the powertrain control module (PCM) is actually receiving the signals from the CMP sensors you replaced, there is no more guessing here and no quick answers, it is a possibility the wiring harness and connectors to the sensors is defective, the wiring should always be replaced whenever the sensors are replaced on this engine ALWAYS, as they are frequently the problem and not the sensors themselves. But due to the difficulty of replacing the CMP's they both are replaced as a unit repair. Also it may be helpful for you to read the info at the link below. I have a 2006 Dodge Caravan I had it hooked to a computer because the check engine light came on it was reading camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor was not lining up but the van still starts fine it has...

There are no computers used to check any vehicle.
All you can do is look at what the vehicle computer
thinks it see, correct data or not.
What is the question?
You need a shop to diagnose the codes
and find a problem.
Why do you think the check light is on?
How long before you possibly ruin the motor?

Can u tell me what the problem of this code PO340

I have a 1999 BMW 740 il My SES light came on so I hooked up my OBD code reader p0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction is what came up. so I went to the BMW parts department and bought the Camshaft Position Sensor.
I Replaced the with the new. My SES light was still on so I hooked up the OBD reader again hoping it may reset my SES light but it didn't what did happen is the OBD reader came up with the same code (p0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction) witch is what I just replaced. now I'm at a loss. I'm not sure how to reset my SES light and if I just replaced the Camshaft Position Sensor why dose it the OBD code p0340 still come up. Any suggestions?

Try unplugging the ECU wire harness from the ECU, clean the terminals and screw it back on tightly. Might be a bad connection at the ECU. Also, I have no idea what 'block sensor' you are talking about and that jeep 4.0 has a crankshaft sensor bolted to the transmission bell housing, not a camshaft sensor, right?
