Good Morning. Sopoke with the dealer about cost for a transmission flush. During our conversation they told me the filter on this model could be cleaned and reused. Have you heard of this? If so how would you clean the filter?

Re: 2004 hyundai accent transmission filter
This is a new process most of hes cars come with steel filters and the power flushing units does it whe the machine is hooked up to the car what it does is it runs the leaning agents first and the it pumps out the ol fluid and keeps pusjing the new fluid into the transmission. ( needs special equipment)

You basically have to have the transmission rebuilt. The overdrive band is a low wearing band BUT it does wear. Depending on where you take it Dealer approx 3k independant guys $1900 and up. I recommend a Transmission repair shop that employs
ASE Certified Transmission Tech's. (usually Lee Myles)
Hi , I have a 2002 Hundai Accent and I am have problems with the transmission can you help? Ok so to start out from a start it shift high RPM from 1st to 2nd and to top it off it doesn't go into reverse at all . I was playing around and found a buzzing noise then just the IGN is on and I put it into drive and doesn't go away till I put it back in park what do you think it is ?
I have an '03 Hyundai Accent 1600cc. I am told by the techies at the local dealer, the fuel filter is ON the fuel tank. You gain access to it by removing the back seat, then opening the panel beneath the back seat. Replace the filter, screw the panel back onto the floor and the job is done....
Temp sensor in the transmission. You can replace it yourself in about an hour. Take the time to replace the filter and you'll need an additive for replacement fluid as the transmission uses 'SP3', which you can only get at the dealer.
