Question about 1993 Buick Roadmaster

1 Answer

1993 Buick Roadmaster won't start

The car will not start, although I had started it about 20 minutes before and it ran, but evidentally it died. Went out to leave and tried to restart. It will turn like it is trying to start. It has about a quarter of a tank of gas and is sitting on an incline, unsure if this will have an impact on what is wrong. My husband has checked most of what he thought it would be, but still won't start. Any info is greatly appreciated.

2004 Nissan Altima 3.5L BATTERY LIGHT went on during 15 minute drive. Next day car "died" while idling after a 20 minute drive. BRAKE WARNING LIGHT & BATTERY LIGHT on prior to full electrical failure.

Start with checking the alternator voltage with a multimeter. With the car off check the voltage in the battery which should be holding 12v charged less if flat of course then start the car and test the battery again. If the alternator is good you should be getting a reading of 14 to 14.5 v if it's the alternator it'll A) not put any charge into the battery or B) be a very low voltage being anything under 13.5 v

Where is the started located on the 1993 buick roadmaster? The car will not start?

from the driver seat , it is on right side of engine, at bottom, in front of the trans bell housing. If it clicks fast when you turn the key, tap on the solenoid and the starter. If it has single click , probably starter problem or solenoid, replace both.

1992 Roadmaster Estate 5.7 liter dies for no reason.

You need to have someone with a scantool check the sensors. I've had coolant temp sensors read -43F which tells the computer to dump more gas essentially flooding the engine.

1993 Buick LeSabre surges and almost dies intermittently

Check fuel rail pressure.

Add fuel to beyond 1/2 tank.

A weak fuel pump do not like to ran low on gas.

When was the last gas filter and fuel pump change?

90-120,000 miles is the typical change out.

Fuel pump like to quit on a HOT day.

Test the pressure and see is it within specification.

Good luck
