-   Hi,
I own a 2008 Chevy Avalanche with the 5.3, auto. I crawled under it for the first time today to change the oil and couldn't locate the drain plug. I noticed a couple of thin metal covers (one about the size of a quarter, the other dime size) where the drain plug would normally be, but I didn't pull them off. I've changed oil on plenty of cars over the years, but I felt really dumb when I couldn't locate the plug. I checked the owners manual, but it doesn't address it at all.
Do you know if the drain plug is behind the thin metal cap or is loacted somewhere else?
