How to replace fuel filter on 06 mitsubishi lancer ch es

Pull the fuse for the fuel pump. Run the engine till it dies (or doesn't start) to get as much of the fuel out as possible. Locate the fuel filter near the tank. disconnect and replace. Note on newer cars, the fuel filter is in the tank.

My 2006 mitsubishi lancer es sedan ran out of petrol and is now air locked and I was wondering if you could tell me where to rewmove the fuel line from to remove the air lock?

If i were you i would follow air filter hose to the engine then take it off pour a few ounces of Gasoline into engine then try to start this should take air out of the line and the vehicle should resume running again. Good Luck !!!!!!!!

2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES Engine code P0301 - Cylinder 1 Misfire the plugs and wires are new....any other possible solutions?

Two things to check: Had the same type of issue on my Mustang.

1. The coil might be bad.
2. Is the plug getting wet? If it is you need to track down the source and repare that.

My bet is on #1 though.

it's in the fuel tank, you really don't have to replace it unless you have problem with fuel pump.

FUEL FILTER

Most modern day fuel injected cars have the pump located inside the gas tank. It's the safest place to put it, it can't ignite any fumes because it's submerged in the liquid.
