I would check your heater control valve, that, or the core itself being bad, are the two most common problems I've had with Chevys.

Try flushing the cooling system. The heater core us probably clogged. A flush may clean it out. Good luck.

disconnect the heat hoses going into fire wall , put hose into one with pressure and flush as it sounds like it could be bloked in the heater core, the other thing that could be the problem be the hot ,cold switch as it restricts the flow to makes the heater hoter or colder , it might need tlc or replacing as it is manaul not elec

I have an 1994 ford escourt wagon LX...i have replaced the thermostat and housing and back flushed the whole system..the air still doesnt blow hot enough air to warm the car up inside..this needs to be...

Hi hope I can help.
Go in the engine compartment on the passenger side fire wall,
you will see two 3/4 inch hoses.
run your engine up to temp
Then place your hand on the two hoses. (heater core hoses)
Both hoses should be warm.
If one is hot and the other cool your heater hose is clogged.
You can try to flush it by removing the hoses and flush it with a garden hose.
hopes this helps .and keeps your warm.
Please leave feedback thank you FixYa

No heat , replaced radiator , water pump, rad. cap , hoses and flushed system twice.blows cool air.whats left?

Thermostat.? if you haven't? Do it first then try it. While the car is running for a while touch the heater hoses that lead to the firewall. if one is cold and one is hot? You have a blocked Heater core. Follow the hoses back to the engine. Unconnect them both. By using a garden hose flush out the heater core do one side and then reverse by doing the other hose Lots of junk will come out so be care ful. Mistake people make is "Flushing the system" That doesn't mean your flushing the heater core.
Seeing that you have done everything else it could be the thermostat which you didn't list or the heater core being clogged. When you finished installing the thermostat and flushing the heater core out. Replenish the coolant system . If you have a bleeder on the thermostat housing? use it . loosen it and top off the fluid until you see fluid comeout of the bleeder. The system being air bound would cause no heat..

1996 Honda Passport EX 3.0 Heater runs weak, the fan barely puts any air out, but I can hear it blowing. It also barely puts out warm air. With the temp. lever in cool it really blows. but as I slide it...

Is this a quantity of air problem or quality of the heat from the heater?
If its heat from the heater you need to first flysh and reverse flush your cooling system, includes radiator etc and use a good flushing agent first. Then replace heater water valve.
Refill and bleed out cooling system and get car up to temp.
When hot, feel pipes going into and out of heater matrix. On full heat they should both be roughly same temp, if not , replace matrix cos it must have collapsed.
Have yoy EML light checked at local garage using spec diagnostic tools.

TEREX 860 temperature gauge not working engine warm gauge in cool area. Cab heater warm not very hot what is the proplem

if the engine is not reaching operating temp, then the heater is never going to blow warm air. I would start with checking temp of engine, if its not warm enough (180f) I would replace the thermostat

1999 dodge dakota blows cold air at idle but heat warms up when revved. would like a solution to this heater problem. I live in alaska and need the heat to function properly. already flushed the heater...

Sounds as if the engine is not building up temp due to cooling system working. If engine temp gage is reading low try covering 1/3 of radiator with a piece of cardboard "Bumper side" to reduce the cooling effect.. just watch temp and out side temps if warming up outside or heavy driving remove the blocking to allow full cooling

The heater in my 2001 Sierra Z71 takes a long time to warm up. MOstly does not heat up at all. How do I trouble shoot this?

THE 1ST THING U DO IS GO UNDER THE HOOD WHEN ENGINE IS HOT, CHECK THAT BOTH HEATER HOSES (INLET AND OUTLET) ARE GETTING HOT, IF ONLY ONE IS HOT FLUSH THE CORE, IF BOTH ARE JUST WARM THEN THE THERMOSTAT IS DEFECTIVE IN THE ENGINE, REPLACE IT, LET ME KLNOW WHAT YOU FIND.

I dont get hot air in the cab just warm!

I would check the air blend door to see if it is working right. It may not be closing all the way leting cold air in! Try touching the heater hoses, if both are about the same temp. I would check the air blend door.
