Car only blows cold air

Heater blower will only blow cold air. Have checked all fuses, all ok. All setting are to heat, even went up to 90 degrees. Have added just less then 1 gallon of anti-freeze. Thoughts?

My car only blows cold air, which is bad because it's been about 25-30 degrees here lately. Someone at work told me to check the blend door and see if it's stuck shut. So where is this blend door or blend door actuator?

if your coolant is full, it's probably your thermostat. are you leaking coolant anywhere?

Why is my heat or air is not blowing and car is running hot

How hot is the engine running in degrees f? Does the radiator fan run?
With hvac turned on, check voltage and ground at the blower motor. If good voltage and ground, suspect the blower motor is faulty.

Heater not blowing hot air

no year,? wow.
but is it blowing cold air. (or dead blower?) ill assume cold fast air.
ok there are only a few ways.
1: ENGINE NOT reaching, 180F temp and holding, (a meter check in 1min flat)
2; the HVAC failure.

check fuses. yet/?
does heater fail in all modes of heat and vent directions?

this sample page works on all cars.
the HVAC details vary but the principles are all the same.

Heat and air conditioning does not work.

say what dont work.
ok the blower blows, and for sure on high.
so what do you want , and where.
heat to cab?
cold air conditioning to cab?
does not work, ok
lets do 1. no heat to cab,
blow fuse is 1st . check all fuse. (see glove box operators guide)
if no heat:
check engine heat, is it 180F and holding
check cap heater core hose, in heat mode are both hot. ?
if both are hot you have heat to the core and is a damper failure
in the heater box (or controller)

Heater wont blow hot air in my 1998 Lincoln Navigator

the computer that controls the deflector motor are not responding and opening the door for heat, I'm sure you have climate control, check the temp setting sensor to the computer input first

1998 Town Car A/C Blows Hot Air But Is Charged Up

Hi - There may be 2 separate problems. On my 1991 Lincoln Town Car, there is a Thermal Blower Lockout sensor that disables the heater from blowing until the engine temperature reaches a specific temperature. This way if you have vent or floor settings and 90 degrees set and it is winter, you won't get blasted with cold air. When the vehicle warms up, the TBL circuit enables the climate control to blow the hot air. If you use the flr/def instead of the floor or vent control, the TBL should not prevent the heater from working even with a cold engine. On my car, the TBL went bad and always prevented hot air from blowing on the floor and vent settings, even when the engine was hot. Another thing to check is a thermal limitor resistor. It is designed to cut off the blower at very hot temperatures, except if the blower fan is in the hi setting.

As far as the A/C is concerned, can you verify if the clutch is engaging or not? A rapid cycling of the clutch is an indication of low freon. If you are absolutely sure that you are fully charged on freon, I think there are 2 possible causes: (1) Bad pressure switch on the accumulator is indicating low freon that is telling the compressor not to work; (2) a blocked orifice tube.

Ford ka heater blows hot air all the time

Your problem is a faulty heater control valve. The design used on these vehicles allows for hot water to flow constantly and compete with the evaporator as there is no blender door. You have to replace the valve and possibly the control head. Meanwhile, you can bypass the valve to have cold air

Heater

If it does blow air, but only cold air; Check the thermostat, or the blend door actuator (under dash). If it doesn't blow any air at all; Check the heater fuse. If the fuse checks ok; replace the blower motor resistor. Best wishes to you.
