All modern cars are negative ground, Ford used a positive ground for awhile 50 or so years ago if memory serves me.

I have a 2004 Ford F150 STX my taillights, brake lights, and both rear turn signals which fuse and relay controls these items.

you can pull negative battery cable and put test light on negative battery post, when lights up pull a fuse from fuse panel and if light goes out then thats where the short is, if light stays on then go to the next fuse

I have no headlights on my 2004 f 150

Check the fuses, if they are good, it's probably a bad headlight switch. Does it have daytime running lights?

1995 ford f-150 xlt headlight short, engine dies when switch is engaged, is it a short in my ground wire? or what could it be? it's a neusance, i cant drive my truck at night, only during the day, i pull...

it sounds like a short in the possitive from the headlight to the switch follow the possitive from the switch and look for melted or cut wire most likely the positive from the switch has melted to the wire running to the ignition coil from the ignition. when the light switch is off its closing the circuit to the coil but when the switch is on its grounding to the headlight ground
