First, code b0100 is a fault in the restraint system. front end sensor, restraint sensing diagnostic module or communication between the 2 are suspect problems po420 is an efficiency problem with catalytic converter. most likely would need new converter, but exhaust leaks and oxygen sensor malfuctions can also set code. if this vehicle is under 80,000 miles and does need converter, dealer should repair for free under warranty. that is federally mandated.

What does error codes: B0100 and B0140 indicate wrong on a 2011 Buick LaCrosse CXL 3.6 V6 eng.?

B0100:
Perform trouble checking for the following: the front end sensor, the SDM module, the SDM wiring harness connector. Damage to the following parts needs replacement or repair. For the DTC B0100, detach the front end sensor1 connector and also detach the SDM connector. Perform trouble checking of the signal and voltage circuits between the SDM and the front end sensor for a short to voltage and for a short to ground. Reconnect all the SIR components and if the DTC B0100 is present then the front end sensor1 has to be changed.

Code B0100

Hi there:
DTC B0100 - Electronic Front End Sensor 1 Performance

The following can cause an intermittent condition:
  • A short between the front end sensor signal and low reference circuits
  • High or low resistance in the front end sensor signal and low reference circuits
  • Inspect the front end sensor signal and low reference circuits carefully for cutting and/or chafing
  • Verify that the correct front end sensor is installed in the vehicle

Hope helps.

You can't. You need to see the dealer to have the system scanned for faults.

The reduce engine power message keeps coming on, giving limited power when driving does anyone know what the proble could be with my 2007 hummer H2 SUT.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shutting down your throttle body control for some reason and limiting how much throttle you can apply. The only way to find out why it is doing this is to scan the PCM for Diagnostic Test Codes (DTCs) and diagnose any existing codes accordingly. It is very likely to be caused by a fault in your throttle position sensor or accelerator pedal position sensor circuits.

There is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for your vehicle which covers a known problem with reduced engine power and sets DTC P2138. The known problem is that the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor circuits are being infiltrated by water intrusion into a connector and causing erratic voltage readings at the PCM. It is TSB reference # 07-06-04-019D

I have p0420 on my 06 pont gp gt. it mostly comes on after I slow down after highway

Here is the trouble tree for that code it is most likely a bad cat but follow the trouble tree to see where it lead's you.
DTC P0420 or P0430

Diagnostic Instructions

* Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure. See: Testing and Inspection\Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview\Diagnostic Starting Point - Vehicle
* Review Strategy Based Diagnosis for an overview of the diagnostic approach.
* Diagnostic Procedure Instructions provides an overview of each diagnostic category.

DTC Descriptors

DTC P0420

* Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 1

Important: A new converter with less than 100 miles on it may set DTC P0420 or P0430 due to out-******* of the internal matting. Operating the vehicle at highway speeds for approximately 1 hour may correct the condition. Hope this helps

How check hummer 2005 sut H2 before to buy

is the car low milage ? by taking it for a drive you will be able to tell if everything works and stepping on the brakes lightly you will be able to tell if there is any noise coming from them.. take it on the road and step down on it to see if it accelerates good.. make sure it shifts smooth and there should be no smoke coming from anyhere.. check under the hood to see if it is clean everywhere. this tells you if it has been taken care of .windshield broken? check for chips here also.. interior clean ? this lets us know if its been taken care of also... if its late model and low miles you probably will be ok.. driving it will tell the story about how it is going to run ... holler if you have more..
