Question about 1992 Ford Explorer
The fuel pump relay is located under the hood in the "other" fuse box that has the more engine related fuses & relays in it. Look at the back side of the cover for the locations of these items. Sometimes you can temporarily swap 2 of the same relays to verify or /find and fix the faulty part.

SOURCE: fuel pump relay
I was just looking for another fuse and came across this diagram and it shows every fuse and relay and where it goes. The Fuel Pump Relay is in the O slot in the fuse box under the hood which is located near the battery. it is a 20 amp mini fuse.
