Question about 2004 Infiniti QX4
The driver seat can be adjusted manually, but when starting the car it will not adjust to either position 1 or 2 and upon shut down it does not relax to let you out.
You might try to reset the driver 1 and driver 2 positions first. The owners manual should tell you how. If you don't have one, I'm pretty sure that you have to move the seat back as it would normally be when you exit the vehicle. Press and hold both 1 and 2 buttons at the same time until the green light flashes. Then release and adjust seat to your liking and once you have it where you like it press one of the two buttons, The green button should flash again to confirm. You may have to press one button or the other before adjusting seat and then again when you have it where you want it to confirm. If resetting still doesn't work you will have to take it to the dealer to have the computer hooked up so they can access the Body Control Module and reactivate that function, or diagnose.

There is a switch next to the interior dash dimmer dial (left of steering wheel) that has a pic of a seat with arrows and the word AUTO on it. This is a on-off switch for turning on auto seat movements.
