Question about 1999 GMC Suburban
I have a 1999 Suburban 2500 SLT 4x4 w/ a 7.4L. I had the transfer case replaced in 2005 because the oil was drained from it and never replaced and subsequently burnt out. I recently have been experiencing a problem with the automatic 4x4 buttons. The light does not stay constently illuminated when in 2WD, sometimes it is on sometimes it's not. When ?I went off-road and engaged my 4WD high button the light went on then I noticed a little bit later it was off. The check 4WD drive light had come on after about 5 or 10 minutes in 4WD. What would cause this light to appear and how can I fix this problem.

The sensors inside the t-case show that no lubricant is present and just needs a cycle of use to read correctly, or a new tranfer case switch $60 and 30min.
