Switch the gasket to the other side of the diaphragm. (i.e. if the gasket is between the carb and the diaphragm put the diaphragm between the gasket and carb. or vise versa) should fix the prob.

How do i prime an oil pump on a 460 ford engine?

If it's lubricating oil, you don't need to prime, it is self-priming. If you have a diesel engine, and you are speaking of the diesel fuel and filter pump system, then you should have a manual pump on top of the fuel filter that when pushed down and released, will suction fuel from the tank and push through the filter and to the injection pump. Although, most large trucks use an electric "lift pump" which does this automatically. So if you can be more descriptive of your problem it will help us to help you.

How do I fix the Monitor Lifter Pump 1103?

The pump is not drawing oil but only when when sucking. (You knew that). I would guess that moving the heater caused a small leak in the oil suction line or pluggage in a suction strainer/filter. When primed, everything is OK. So ignitor, nozzle, etc is OK when the prime fluid is present. But the pump cannot draw liquid. Look for a very small leak in the suction letting air in. Look for pluggage in a suction filter. It won't take much air inleak or suction restriction to stop a pump from lifting.

Isuzu kb 280 dt got a fuel starvation problem after it stands for a few days, when i pump the prime pump on top of fuel filter the problem is gon.

It could either be a fuel pipe between your prime pump and injector pump that sucks air so your diesel flows back into your fuel tank. Or you need to replace the prime pump. There is a rubber diaphragm in the prime pump that gets worn. Unfortunately need to buy a new prime pump. A simple sollution is to fit a non return valve to your fuel line. That need to be connected between the prime pump and fuel tank. Hope it helps. Blessings

I would check the EGR valve diaphragm to see if it will hold a vacuum. The VSV associated with the EGR valve is controlled by the computer and is probably what is kicking in at 1700 rpm. When the VSV opens, a leaky EGR diaphragm will let air into the intake manifold just ahead of the throttle body. This air will not be measured by the mass air flow meter/sensor and the resulting mixture will be very lean and lead to misfires.

6hp toro snowblower. cleaned carb, reinstalled all parts, engine ran for aprox. 10-15 seconds then shuts down. appears to be straving for fuel. push primer button and it will start up and then shut down

The diaphram in the carb is not working or there is an air leak somewhere in the intake or the float may not be working or the needle inside the carb may not be working or it's sticking.

Have to prime carburetor to start truck.

It is a good idea to replace the kit, and it is a matter of stripping the carb and taking note what you removed where and replacing with a new part. You should also check the spark plugs and timing. If the timing is out, the engine will also have difficulty starting.
