Question about 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer

Condensation inside 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 Equippe 4dr

Problem with build up of condensation on the windows, have been back to dealership who said I need to run with climate control on all the time.
Tried this but have a band about 3/4 inch up each front window that blocks out the rear view mirrors, I bought an anti fog gel to try, again a waste of money. I feel there is a draft coming from the centre consul could this be the cause of the condensation?.
Anyone else got the same or similar problem? anyone got a cure? its driving me nuts.
Thanks for your help

The heater core is buried deep in the heating ducts, to get to it u must remove the dash

What is the humidity in your area, are you a big person? i the heater core leaking? all this affects fogging, I do pretty much agree with the dealer.

Condensation is caused by the difference in temp from internal to external of ur car. Be aware of the engine temps & where your temp slider or environment control is set. If the is a draft coming from the centre console try changing to recirc mode on the fan setup as this eliminates air from external flowing through your car. If the draft persist I would go for a drive to cause the draft & find out exactly where it is comin from. Remember to keep it simple & check for broken vents or similar.

Enjoy & good luck!

Your vehicle has similar signs that some VW's showed in the early 2000's. Depending on where you live, here in the Midwest, we found a main wiring harness that ran under the inner edge of the driver side, under carpet was exposed to salt and water during the winter. This caused connectors to brake and cause many issues.

As for your issue, seems that all these components may be sharing the same electrical circuit and therefore not working properly.

How do i change front drivers wheel bearing/hub set on mitsubishi colt equippe 2005 model

Take wheel off, take off axle nut and split ring, take off calliper, remove rotor, look behind hub assembly should be 2 or more bolts holding it in place, remove them and pull off hub (sometimes needs to be hit with a hammer from behind to loosen... Picture is for a link of a different vehicle but same concept 4_17_2014_3_08_27_am.png

My left comparment was watery after heavy the way my car was mitsubishi lancer GLX 1993 model.

It sounds like you need to check for leak points. Windows are a source, and drain hoses on the A/C evaporator are problems. They let the condensation out the bottom of the vehicle, but get clogged up sometimes and the rain is able to enter through the top vent around your windshield wipers and then can get out fast enough.

A/c condensation leaking inside passenger floor

Sounds like your drain is pluged. The drain is on pass. Side on fire wall. More than likely will have to get under car to find it. Try shooting some compressed air into drain port

2002 Lancer heat/ac ductwork leaking water.

Sounds like your drain tube for the A/C is clogged up. Get someone to blow it out for you, and you shouldn' t have this problem anymore.

Windows iceing up on inside

moisture from the snow on the floor.....probably soaked into the carpet....after you shut the car off it starts to evaporate and the condensation builds up on the windows.....then it freezes. knock the snow off your feet or get some thick rubber floor mats and dump them evry once in a while

Condensation inside car (Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 Equippe 4dr)

You might want to check to see if your heater core, which is located under the dash and inside the car, is not leaking. Look to see if you have a wet rug on the passenger side. If it is not leaking then try turning you vent knob to outside air and not recirculating.
