Question about 2000 Ford Focus

1 Answer

2000 ford focus zx3 lost power to windows, heater, headlights.

My headlights, windows, heater blower, stop lights, all went out at exactly the same time. All have different fuses (all good) and different relays. I have to assume all have something in common like a ground. Problem is that the Haynes manual is generic and does not have ground locations or good enough wiring diagrams that link the systems. Does any one have a 2000 ford focus ZX3 dealer service manual with all wiring diagrams?

Thanks. Believe it or not it was the accessory leads coming of the main positive battery terminal. Although the wire to the junction box showed continuity and showed 12 volts, when a huge load was applied not enough juice came by to set off the ignition relay, which controled the whipers and windows and not enought to hold the headlight relays. it was intermitten. I cut back the cables and added a new quick release terminal and now every system is running powerful. The lights used to dim at low rpms and now they are bright at all times... its fixed.
