Question about 1997 GMC Jimmy
We threw another brand new battery into it started it like five times no problems left it for like ten mins and it wouldnt start back up again any ideas oh yeah and on this engine wheres the starter
I had the very same problem with my 97' jimmy. I finally replace the ignition wiring harness. That controls the electrical going to the dash. Blinkers, gauges, fuel pump, I also replaced the Key switch just in case. Started right up all gauges work, blinkers everything.

I did exactly what you said earlier and it worked GREAT but forgot to post it... yeah do this and it should work.... my friend and I were looking around the ignition switch area tightening things up that looked lose and the car started to turn over and the key wasn't even in it lol, i guess if a thief were to "hotwire" a car, this is how he would do it xD ...so wow i learned something useful from this experience hahah.
