Question about 1993 Mazda RX-7

ABS light and alarm constanly on

I just picked up this 93 RX-7 and the squeel of the ABS alarm and light stay on constantly. Also the parking brake light stays on continously.
The ABS system itself seems to be fine (basic test of hitting the brakes hard to see how they respond). I don't really know where to start troubleshooting this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The brake light will stay on if your brake fluid is low.

Try changing your pads all round as they have sensors for each set of pads or just try and get a set of sensors

My 2005 Chrysler Sebring started and turned off three times now, it just has a blinking red light?

Anti-Lock Warning Light (ABS) - If Equipped This light monitors the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) described elsewhere in this manual. This light will come on when the ignition key is turned to the ON position and may stay on for as long as four seconds. If the ABS light remains on or comes on during driving, it indicates that the Anti-Lock portion of the brake system is not functioning and that service is required, however, the conventional brake system will continue to operate normally provided that the BRAKE warning light is not on. If the ABS light is on, the brake system should be serviced as soon as possible to restore the benefit of Anti-Lock Brakes. 24 7 Locksmith Orchard Park NY 716 710 7400 Locksmith Orchard Park NY

Abs light stays on and brake light on 98 durango

The regular brake warning light is for the parking brake being applied or the brake fluid is low. You would need to get the abs system scanned for trouble codes to proceed.

Parking brake light stays on.

Do you have a separate parking brake light and a "regular" brake light? Most vehicles only have one light, it illuminates when the parking brake is set, but it also illuminates when the system detects a failure anywhere in the brake system.

You could have a separate light for the anti-lock brake system (ABS ).

Your description of a light that is on till you apply the brakes is usually a sign of some sort of system brake failure. Start with brake fluid level, then inspect the brakes at each wheel, looking for a leak.

If nothing detected there, then you likely have something more serious. (Master brake cyclinder bad, possible something in the ABS brakes, etc.)

Others may disagree, but I would suggest not driving the vehicle (except to a mechanic) until this is corrected.

When the ABS light comes on what part of the engine is involved.

The Anti-Lock Brake system. Check your manual to see if you may experience "temporary failure" of ABS. My '89 RX-7 Turbo would "fail" if brakes overheated. If light is on and stays on, it's a more significant problem.
