look for the starter relay, when you say you have power to the starter do you mean that you have power at the little purple wire that hooks to the solenoid of the starter

Have you checked to see if the alternator is working? If it isn't the battery is being drained. You may have lights and all but the cranking power is drained therefore you don't have enough juice to start it. So check the alternator and if possible do an obd 2 scan at autozone or advance auto

I'm having the same problem w/my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lerado v8. Got a new battery & it would crank but not start, acted like it was out of gas. I had to reset the security alarm system by turning...

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. I don't think your security system is the problem? At the starter motor two voltage circuits, one is fuse protected and is hot all the time. The other circuit goes hot with key in the start position and relay is energized. Any testing at relay or starter motor, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set.

New starter but car wont start

funny...you have just told me what is wrong with it!!!
check power in, power out at the ignition switch...likely it has failed. switch is on the top of the steering column under the dash and is sometimes easier to reach if you disconnect the column from the dash and permit the sterering wheel to rest on the seat.
