Check engine light

There could be too many reasons. Air filter, MAF sensor, O2 sensor, spark plugs, injector and so on. Simply, get the codes read if the check engine light is flashing. Most repair shops do this for free.

Check eng light stays on

Check engine lights have been on all vehicles for 30 years now

What's the issue?

Have to diagnose the car, using the codes you should have
when the light came on

If you don't give us the codes,we can not even
guess at the system with the problem

Still need a repair shop to find & resolve the issue

How do you remove the "Service Engine Soon" on a

the check engine light alerts you that there are problems. There will be a code or codes stored in the engines computer. You can retrieve these codes one of three ways.

1. call your local auto parts store. Many times they will do this for free.

2. buy an inexpensive code reader. Available just about anywhere that has an automotive department. They will start at about $50.

3. Bring it in to a shop to have a check engine light diagnostic done.

Once you know the code you can then start to focus on a repair. Once a repair is made the codes will be cleared and the check engine light will turn off. If you do not make the repairs the light will not stay off. It will continue to come on and stay on until the proper repair is made.

Took vehicle for diagnostics & no codes showed up but check engine light stays on. Also the Lok Trac light stays on. This is a 2004 Alero

If the engine light is on there's a code store in your computer, hope they did not charge you, take it to another repair shop, or to Autozone they will do a code reading for free, but don't buy any thing as this is just a selling thing, take the trouble code to a repair shop and see what they say.

My engine light comes after driving about two minutes, and stays on. I just spent $800.00 For a tune up And the engine light has been comming on every since. I carried it back to the repair shop, They said...

simply go to another shop and have an engine diagnosis done, to find out what the problem is. the first shop screwed something up and seem incompetant and unable/incapable of rectifiying the problem.

Airbag light and service soon light

You need to take this to a shop and have the airbag system repaired as that light is indicating a fault in the airbag deployment system. The service Engine soon light could be nothing more that a reminder to change the oil but is most likely an Oxygen sensor that needs replaced.

Engine Light Stays On

If there is an advanced auto or an autozone near you, take it there, they don't charge to hook up a code scanner. Takes about a minute, a repair shop will charge almost $100.00.

You will need to have engine codes pulled from vehicles computer and perform repair, before the light will go off.
Any diagnostic repair shop should be sufficient to help you. A place that specializes in engine diagnostics and engine repair.
