My traction light came on and then my battery light came on. The car started to slow down and the lights dimmed before my car completely shut down. The lights and the radio were still on but everytime I tried to start it, it would start but would cut off.
Your computer has too many sensors for your car, and the computer shut down. You need to get a computer diagnostics done on your car to see if the computer is still good. That is gonna cost you about 65 bucks to do it.

I have the exact same problem and it only happened when reversing. Sometimes the car shakes like its going to stall while im reversing. Took it to the repair shop paid 600 dollars and its not fixed!!! Have you found a solution?
Check your chassis ground strap. There should be a braided cable, or a cable similar to your battery cable, that runs from somewhere on the engine to the chassis. The reason you have multiple items lighting up or working when you try to operate one item is because it is trying to get a ground through another source.
sounds like your alternator. if you have a multimeter then turn on your car and turn your headlights on/ac and heater fan on high/wipers on and blinkers on. once they are all on hook the meter to the battery and if it reads less then 14 volts then the alt is bad. or you can just take it to a shop and have it tested.
