Where to washer fluid 2015 kia sorento
Some years ago there was a move to standardise all those things that were the driver's responsibility such as screenwash, engine oil, coolant, etc., by colouring the caps yellow. I even saw yellow tyre valve caps at the time.
Unfortunately the manufacturers couldn't or wouldn't agree and so an excellent idea died young.
Easy answer number one is to suggest you read the vehicle driver's handbook if you have it. As the car is brand new there should be a nice new literature pack in the glovebox and if there isn't the supplier should be taken gently by the throat.
The literature pack also contains other valuable stuff such as service records, proof of delivery date, code numbers and suchlike and possibly the spare key(s). It is very important to have it.
In the absence of a handbook the screenwash filler is generally under the bonnet (or hood if you are foreign). These days screenwash bottles are quite large and some hold a couple of gallons so they are often fitted low in the space under the front wings, mudguards or fenders and a long spout is fitted so they can be filled from the engine compartment. The spout therefore is usually to be found near the extreme edge of the engine compartment, either side, and most often near the front. There is often a rather cryptic sketch moulded into the plastic lid vaguely resembling water squirting onto a windscreen after the wiper has just passed.
Failing that if you identify the oil, brake fluid, coolant and power steering the screenwash is about the only one left.
Thanks John. is it something I can fix or does it need done in a garage?
