If it sounds like regularly heard shooting bullet like sound, then I think its the muffler/ filter in the exhaust system.

I keep hearing a banging in the transfer case and its not the c v joints?

Have your front end differential checked. My 2003 Sorento did the same knockin especially uphill and when I took it to the shop after several months of trying to fig it out on my own they said this is a VERY common problem with Kia's. GOODLUCK!!!

2003 Durango front drivers window jumped off cables tracks

This a common problem on the chrysler products. The whole assembly inside the door while need replacing. I thinks once you get the panel off there is only about 5 screws that have to be removed. the assembly comes already as one piece. its really not to hard to change.

I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 when i put it in 4 wheel it makes a loud banging noise whitch is coming from the transfer case it almost sounds like the chain is jumping offf the gears but not sure has anyone...

The '97 Ram 1500 5.9L 4x4 Transfer case was a Dana mfg unit (interchange # 412-00361 I think). The chain and gears would need to be replaced to correct this. Usually the labor and price of the parts cost more than replaceing the entire assembly depending on how much damage in the case has occurred. You can same a little if you can do the work yourself but the end price comes down to time, ability and cost.

Does your s10 have electronic shift or manual shift? Most i have seen are electronic shift try checking the shift motor on the transfer case, they have a tendency to corrode and split open the case. hope this will you

When i put in gear makes loud bang more so when car warm it sounds more like front diff than gear box area( common ) land rover discovery 95

Gear clunking is normal in the Rover's transfer case. It uses straight cut gears - they are stronger, but louder. If not out of the T-Case, check the front driveshaft - another common wear point.

Front wheels locked up

blown differential in the trans more than likely. They trow the diff pins all the time and often they blow huge holes in the transmission case.
