You should be able to replace the fuel pump through the trunk. Beneath the carpet in the trunk should be an access panel. Once you remove that panel, all the electrical connections and fuel lines can be disconnected. Remember to disconnect the negative battery cable prior to service, and to take necessary precautions in regards to fuel spillage that may occur. I hope this helps.

Try depressing the gas pedal once before cranking. If it fires right up then replace the fuel filter. If not then you may need to replace the cam sensor.

My 2000 Buick lesabre cuts off while driving

Your fuel pump might be going bad. The reason why it cuts off is the fuel pump is pumping just enough to run it for a x amount of time that's why it shuts off but while it's off the pump is pumping fuel into the lines. If it's not the fuel pump then it might be your injectors.

I need to change a fuel pump in a 2000 buick lesabre how ineed instruction please

It's a little more involved than just popping out the old pump and putting in the new.

It's important to relieve the fuel pressure. Start the car and pull the fuel pump fuse oe relay.
let the engine run 'till it dies. The fuel pressure should be gone.

The '00 Le Sabre has and access hole in the trunk with a half-dozen screws holding the cover.

Disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors. Wrap them with a shop rag first.

Use plenty of ventilation. Fumes can build up in the trunk and you will be setting in the middle
of a bomb.

Be careful with your light. (leave it outside of the trunk).

Remove the carpet.(it can generate static).
GM recommends replacing the seal.
You can get pumps and repair kits on E-Bay.

2000 buick lesabre stall after starting or after running for 30 minutes

I have a 1996 Lesabre. I had a similar problem that slowly got worse. I brought it to two different mechanics that did diagnostic checks and could only "suggest" what to replace to fix the problem. Their problem was that it wouldnt stall out while they had the mv. After replacing a bunch of sensors and the fuel pump/ filter, I solved the problem by replacing the Crank Sensor. Its located behind the lower crank pulley on the 3.8 lt motor. Hope this helps!
