SOURCE: traction active message is coming on

Your car has what is called "traction Control" when wheel slip is detected by the system it takes control of the brake system and stops the spin, some cars call this Stability Control, if the light is always on then the system has a failed part and is turned off by the control unit.

Rear Parking Assist Inoperative - Red Indicator Flashes
Does the red indicator flash ?
Diagnostic Aids
• The RPA system is equipped with an on-board diagnostic display feature capable of displaying diagnostic trouble codes from the RPA display. Before using this diagnostics, it is necessary to get familiar and understand how the on-board diagnostic feature operates. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Displaying and to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing on how the diagnostic trouble codes are displayed and cleared from the RPA display system.
• Make sure the rear park assist (RPA) object sensors located on the vehicle rear bumper are clean and clear. Remove any objects that is blocking the sensors.
• Inspect for after market devices which could affect the operation of the RPA system.

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Displaying

This vehicle is equipped with an on-board diagnostic display feature capable of displaying diagnostic trouble codes using the 3 indicators on the rear parking assist display. After the bulb check has been completed, the red outside indicator flashes to indicate a malfunction with the system. The module disables operation of the URPA system under this condition.
In order to enter the diagnostic mode, complete the following actions:
With the ignition turned OFF, short the rear parking assist diagnostic connector to ground while the vehicle is in PARK. For the location of the rear parking assist (RPA) diagnostic connector, refer to Object Detection Component Views .
Turn ON the ignition.
Place foot on the brake.
Shift the vehicle into REVERSE within 5 seconds.
If the vehicle is not shifted into reverse within 5 seconds after turning the ignition ON, the diagnostic mode will still be initiated. However, a reverse input wiring fault will be registered as sequence #7 as shown in the Diagnostic Indicator table below. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing for the specific steps on how to clear diagnostic trouble codes. After the reverse input wiring code is cleared, repeat the diagnostic trouble code displaying steps in order to enter the diagnostic mode.
When the diagnostic mode is first entered, the rear parking assist display displays the amber outside indicator and the red outside indicator. Then, the indicators on the rear parking assist display will display one or more of the sequences in the table below to indicate where the fault exists within the rear parking assist system. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing for the specific steps on how to clear diagnostic trouble codes.

The Rear Parking Assist (RPA) Diagnostic Connector (UD7) is under the front of the center console behind the BCM - body control module.

07 chevy uplander ran out of fuel, with 1/8 tank on way,to store now the battery save active displays when I attempt to start the van like,it set off an alarm. How can I get it running

Battery Saver Active
Refer to Charging System Description and Operation

Battery Saver Active
The BATTERY SAVER ACTIVE message will display on the driver information center (DIC) when the vehicle enters a load shed 2 event. Refer to Load Shed System Description and Operation for load shed 2 setting criteria.
Electrical Power Management
The electrical power management (EPM) is used to monitor and control the charging system and alert the driver of possible problems within the charging system. The EPM system makes the most efficient use of the generator output, improves the battery state-of-charge (SOC), extends battery life, and manages system electrical loads.
The load shed operation is a means of reducing electrical loads during a low voltage or low battery SOC condition.
The idle boost operation is a means of improving generator performance during a low voltage or low battery SOC condition.
Each EPM function, either idle boost or load shed, is discrete. No 2 functions are active at the same time. Idle boost is activated in incremental steps, idle boost 1 must be active before idle boost 2 can be active. The criteria used by the body control module (BCM) to regulate EPM are outlined below:

I dought you will be able to get it running , except by luck . The best thing you could do is have a qualified repair shop diagnose it . The first place to start would be to hook up to a factory diagnostic scan tool , Check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes .

I had a locked car light come on in my 2006 chevy malibu, it no longer will drive. doesnt turn off, goes in reverse but when in drive, just revs like the car is in neutral, why?

The lock an car symbol is for the anti-theft system ! By not turning off, do you mean you can't turn the key to the off position or you can turn the key to off but the car won't shut off ?
It sounds like you have a Power Mode Mismatch
The ignition switch is an input to the BCM - body control module an if something happens to the system , the BCM will keep the vehicle in the last known mode Since the operation of the vehicle systems depends on the power mode, there is a fail-safe plan in place should the power mode master (PMM) fail to send a power mode message. The fail-safe plan covers those modules, using exclusively serial data control of power mode, as well as those modules with discrete ignition signal inputs.
You could have an ignition switch problem or something wrong with the BCM .
Discrete Ignition Signals Those modules that have discrete ignition signal inputs, also remain in the state dictated by the last valid PMM message received on the serial data circuits. They then check the state of their discrete ignition input to determine the current valid state. If the discrete ignition input is active, battery positive voltage, the modules will fail-safe to the RUN power mode. If the discrete ignition input is not active, open or 0 volts, the modules will fail-safe to OFF-AWAKE. In this state, the modules are constantly checking for a change status message on the serial data circuits and can respond to both local inputs and serial data inputs from other modules on the vehicle.
This is one you need to take to the dealer because they have a factory scan tool !

Reverse sensors work some days but then on some days I get 3 second audio alarm when I turn on ignition,

I find the sensors only activate when you are very close to an object behind you. At about 5 inches they beep constantly. Further then five inches they beep slower and slower until they stop at about 8 inches from something behind you. If you are very close to an object lest then 2 inches they will beep constantly. Also when you start your car and put it in reverse and you hear a beep the reverse sensors are not working. The best way to test them is to turn the key to the start position but do not start it. place the lever in R get out or have someone walk in back of the car, you should hear the sensor go off. Also, there might be a situation when one or two are not working. Follow the procedure above for test but have a stethoscope mechanic type, which most auto parts stores carry. and listen to each one individually. If one is not working it will have to be replaced. The control module for this system is in the trunk next to the spare tire. Some of these cars had a leaking trunk problem in 02 if the module is wet, get a new one. If it hasn't failed it will when they get wet. Finally the sensors should be heard inside and outside the car.

Reversing lights not working on my 1.6 ford escort m reg 1994. ive checked bulbs but still nothing. someone told me about a switch but i cant find it. any help please???

There is a switch attached to the gearbox which activates the reversing lamps when you place the gearbox into reverse. This switch has two wires going to it, one wire is an ignition live feed and the other is the feed to the rear lamps. This switch is usually on the side of the gearbox but quite high up towards the top of the gearbox. You can remove this switch with no danger of losing gearbox oil and replace it. Using a test lamp (which you can buy from any auto parts store), connect the end with the clip to the body on a clean area to ensure a good electrical connection and the pointy end to each of the wires on the switch in turn. With the ignition on but the engine NOT RUNNING, one wire should be active and the other will become active when the gearbox is placed in reverse gear. If neither of the wires are active, check fuses etc. If one wire is active but the other does not become active when reverse is selected, replace the switch. If both wires do what they are supposed too, check the wiring from the switch back to the rear lamps and check for broken or disconnected wires. The switch can be accessed from underneath the vehicle. Remember that these tests are conducted with the ignition turned on but THE ENGINE NOT RUNNING....
